Hiorns, shortlisted for this year’s Turner Prize, coats a derelict flat in super-saturated copper sulphate to ‘see what happened’. Focusing on purity and decay, the aesthetics of contamination, Hiorns explores the roles of science and human action in art as an entirely processual experience.
