7.30pm - SBBK (Servant’s Ball, Blitzkrieg) by Dambudzo Marechera - Moser Theatre - Expelled from the University of Rhodesia, Dambudzo Marechera was sent down from Oxford after attempting to set fire to New college in 1976. In 1982, he wrote Blitzkrieg and Servants’ Ball.
9 pm - St. Peter’s Ars Festival Poetry reading with internationally renowned prize-winning poet RUTH PADEL from her newest collection ‘Darwin- A life in poems’ (“A stunning sequence of poems and unique biography” (Financial Times). She is a candidate for the prestigious Oxford Chair of Poetry, with the election taking place the next day. (Dorfman Center)
